Just a quick reminder that Father’s Day and Pride weekend pre-orders are due this Thursday, July 18th, at 8pm. You won’t want to miss our Pulled Pork Empanadas, Pretzels, Dinner Rolls, Chocolate Stout Cheesecake, and our Baby Blonde Cheddar loaves. Dad will love these items!
Place your order for pick up at either Evanston, Libertyville or Winnetka on Saturday, June 20th or Sunday, June 21st. Many of these items will also be available for walk-in sales this weekend - be sure come early for best selection.
In addition to Father’s Day, it’s also Pride Weekend! Treat yourself to our tasty Pride Croissants in a 4 pack. These jam-filled favorites sell fast, so its always best to order ahead. A portion of our sales will support Equality Illinois.
July 4th Special
Our July 4th Menu has arrived - explore the yummy specials we’ve prepared for your holiday weekend.
- Blueberry Küchen: Indulge in this absolutely delicious family recipe, created in Maine by Ellen's Aunt Marcia. It features a thin, buttery shortbread crust topped with a generous layer of sweet blueberries and dusted with powdered sugar. Serves approximately 8 people.
- Berry Handpie: Our delightful berry handpie is filled with a vibrant mix of seasonal berries, all tucked into a perfectly flaky, golden-brown crust. It's a sweet, handheld treat that's perfect for any time of day. Comes in a 2 pack.
- Empanada: A golden, crispy pastry shell packed with a savory, traditional filling. We simmer lean ground beef with tender diced potatoes, crisp bell peppers, and sweet onions in a rich tomato sauce with a kick of chili seasoning.
- Burger Buns: Our classic burger buns are fluffy, subtly sweet, and perfectly golden, providing the ideal foundation for any burger or sandwich. Comes is a four pack.

July 4th Weekend Hours
A reminder that we will be OPEN in Evanston, Winnetka and Libertyville this year on July 4th! All locations will close at 1pm to allow our staff to enjoy the festivities that afternoon. Please make a note of this and be aware of parking restrictions on Central Street that day.
Loyalty Rewards Program
Central Street is back open, so our current loyalty program will close at the end of June. Be sure to stop by our Evanston store in the next few weeks to earn your construction rewards!
To celebrate a fresh chapter (and the end of the construction!), we’re launching a new loyalty program that will be available at all of our locations starting July 1st. The Baker’s Dozen Club is our way of keeping the love -and the loyalty - rolling along.
How it works: Come in 12 times and spend over $10 each visit - on your 13th visit, you can choose a complimentary loaf of our Country, Blonde Country, or Whole Wheat Seeded, or opt for the pastry of your choice! (Please note that points are limited to one qualifying visit per day - transactions cannot be split to earn extra points).
🧡 Good news for our Evanston regulars: Any points you accumulated during the construction will automatically roll over into the new program. You won't lose a single step toward your next free treat!

The following new items are now in our pastry case:
- Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake - a sour cream cake with a sinnamon sugar swirl topped with cinnamon crumb (pictured above).
- Kouign Amman filling with mango coconut cream.
- Petite Vanilla Scone and a Raspberry Jam Muffin (Our Blueberry Scone and Muffin are on a break until we can source blueberries again from our supplier).
- Petite Fruit Danish with Strawberries (Evanston only).

Pricing Adjustment Notice
To keep baking the bread and pastries you love at the standard you deserve, we are adjusting our prices slightly this summer.
The reality is that the cost of everything that goes into our products - from sustainably grown stone-milled flour, organic dairy and European butter - to the costs of energy, packaging and labor, has gone up significantly. Equal to our commitment to ingredients is our commitment to our team; we believe in paying a sustainable, fair wage to our hard working the bakers and staff. In addition, we are committed to providing health insurance, life insurance and retirement benefits to our full time staff.
